The Essence Music Festival is one of the biggest events of the year. Along with attending some of the awesome events that the Essence Festival has to offer, there will be other events, shows, or parties not affiliated with the Essence Fest. There will be a ton of day and night parties, meet and greets, comedy shows, tour excursions, and more. We have listed the top 25 events, not affiliated with Essence, that are happening in New Orleans during the Essence Music Festival this year.

1. The Pink Affair Day Party
Darron Wheeler Entertainment is back at it, The Pink Affair, the fundraiser for Breast Cancer Awareness is back for Essence 2018. The Event will take place at Razzoo Club and Patio on Thursday July 5th at 1pm. Tisha Martin is on board, as usual, to create the signature shirt for the event. Entry into the event is FREE, however all money raised at the event will be donated to benefit Breast and Prostate Cancer Research and Awareness. This is an event for a great cause, you don’t want to miss this.

3. The 5th Annual “Welcome to New Orleans” Official EMF Kickoff Party
@ Bourbon Heat, 711 Bourbon Street, New Orleans, LA. July 5th, 2018 from 10pm to July 6th, 2018, 4am. The kitchen will be open till 1am. There will be drink specials throughout the night with Bottle Service available.

4. Bourbon Street Balcony Party

5. Black Girls Giggles Comedy Tour

6. Creole Queen Historical River Cruise with Lunch
